3. Is It The Best MCU Movie Yet?

Sometimes it feels like there's not a Marvel release goes by without someone proclaiming it the new top of the MCU ladder of quality. Even lesser heralded additions like Ant-Man and Doctor Strange have their fans.

But Guardians Of The Galaxy legitimately remains the best film in the MCU to date, thanks to its creativity, its braveness and its focus on characters, emotional story-lines and humour. The hope, then, was always that its sequel would go further and usurp it as the best MCU film overall, and there does seem to be some suggestion that that has been achieved.

And even better, there's still clearly a lot left in the tank for James Gunn to play with in Vol 3...
