Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special: 10 Songs It Must Include

1. Santa Claus Is Coming To Town - The Jackson 5

The final entry on the list comes from The Jackson 5 with their rendition of "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town". The original song was written by J. Fred Coots and Haven Gillespie with the earliest known recording being in 1934 by Harry Reser and his band. In 1970, the hour-long animated TV film Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town was produced with Fred Astaire narrating the origin of Santa. In the same year, The Jackson 5 included the song on their best selling album, the Jackson 5 Christmas Album.

The Jackson 5 song "I Want You Back" had yet another massive resurgence after its inclusion in the ending of the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie featuring the much loved Baby Groot. The song plays over footage of Baby Groot slowly dancing in his new plant pot whilst Drax cleans his sword in the background. Whenever Drax glances over at Baby Groot, he ceases dancing and freezes.

The short scene was a fun addition in the film and it would be a surprise for fans to see Groot once again rocking out to some Jackson 5 - even if he is a moody teenager now.
