The Theory: A Redditor suggested last summer that not only would Vol. 2 feature a version of the original Guardians line-up, but it would include an appearance from Sharon Stone as Nikki, a heat-resistant superhero who can also fire flames from her scalp.

This was lent credence by Stone stating in an interview that the Marvel superhero role she's snagged had a heat-based superpower.

The Truth: Impressively, the Redditor was right about some of the original Guardians showing up, but Stone sadly didn't join the likes of Sylvester Stallone, Ving Rhames and Michelle Yeoh as a legacy Guardian.

Neither Stone nor Nikki are anywhere to be seen in the film, and so the theories continue that she might be playing the original Wasp, Janet van Dyne, in Ant Man and the Wasp, even if it's hard to see how heat would figure into that part.
