Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny: 22 WTF Moments

5. Voller's Disappointing Death

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Harrison Ford
Lucasfilm Ltd.

If there's one thing the Indiana Jones movies can be counted on for above all else, it's giving the primary villains suitably horrifying deaths. In the past we've seen them have their faces melted off, get eaten by crocodiles, rapidly age to dust, and be disintegrated by ancient aliens.

It's a bit of a shame, then, that Voller's death ends up feeling rather tame by comparison. After Helena rescues Indy from Voller's plane and they parachute out, the soldiers on the ground eventually strike the plane, causing it to crash to the ground.

If you assumed we might see a gravely wounded, grotesquely deformed Voller step out of the plane's rubble for one last stand, nope - he's just dead.

We get to see his admittedly badly burned corpse amid the wreckage, but compared to the creatively gnarly deaths in the other movies, this came off as a bit too tepid.
