Insidious: The Last Key - 2 Ups & 7 Downs

3. All The Unintentional Comedy

While the actual, earnest attempts at comic relief mostly fall flat, there are some sure laughs to be had of the unintended, accidental variety.

From the wooden dialogue through to the ludicrously melodramatic, over-the-top "scares" and one excessively brutal death scene involving a bookcase, you can get some giggles out of this if you adopt the right mindset going in.

Mileage will probably vary for those craving a so-bad-it's-good night at the movies, because for as many laughs as the film musters, long stretches of it are also just stamina-sappingly dull and totally humourless, even when factoring in unintentional entertainment.
