Jurassic World 2 Trailer - 11 Big Things We Learned

3. Plot Wise, It's Similar To The Lost World: Jurassic Park

The basic plot structure we can glean from the first trailer makes Fallen Kingdom seem very similar to the second film in the franchise, The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

Both movies find our leads heading to a dinosaur-infested island (as opposed to the movies that came before them, where the characters headed somewhere they thought was safe, only to be overrun by the creatures) with the intent of not harming the inhabitants, and both movies will - if our Fallen Kingdom prediction rings true - feature a handful of dinosaurs being brought from the island and into a man-made environment.

There's evidence in the trailer to support this, such as shots of dinosaurs on a boat...

...and we've already discussed how the trailer shows just half of the film. Wouldn't it be logical for the second half to find the dinosaurs escaping their cages, wreaking havoc on the boat or back on the mainland?

It might be a bit too similar to The Lost World, but where else can Fallen Kingdom go?
