Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - 9 Big Questions The Trailer Raises
2. Will Dinosaurs Be Militarised?
Jurassic World touched on the topic of militarised dinosaurs, with Vic Hoskins's doomed efforts to assemble a squad of battle-ready raptors and Dr. Wu's unnatural lab tinkering. This was expected to be the connective tissue between the movie and its sequel, but the trailer suggests the rescue mission will be taking centre stage.
It's unclear whether there will be plotline involving Ingen or another shady organisation's attempts to lay the foundation for a dinosaur army, but this is risky territory for Fallen Kingdom to explore.
Dinosaur warfare sounds too much like a bad B-movie, fit for broadcasting only on Syfy channel for those times when there's literally nothing else to watch.
No doubt the sequel will touch on this concept, but hopefully it won't take to its ultimate conclusion, which would be T-Rexes overturning tanks on the battlefield while aerial squadrons flanked by Pteranodons fly overhead.
A movie involving that kind of thing just wouldn't be Jurassic Park.
