Justice League: 10 Insane Fan Theories You Need To See

1. Superman Kills Alfred

Batman V Superman Henry Cavill

This madcap theory, which was posted after Justice League's Comic-Con trailer dropped online, involves time travel, Superman sunbathing and plenty of death, and it's the latter point that takes the whole thing from "hmm, yeah, that sounds plausible" to "omg wtf lol" very quickly.

Apparently, Steppenwolf will kill Lois Lane early on in Justice League, and Superman will hear her screams of pain from his tomb. This will cause him to go mad with rage, which would eventually lead to the Knightmare scenario from Batman v Superman.

All that does sound plausible - it's hard to imagine Lois being in the way of Steppenwolf so early in the movie, but Lois dying could definitely happen - and Superman going crazy has already been heavily hinted at, so that feels inevitable.

But then, after blaming Batman for the death of Lois (what?), Superman will come to Alfred - which is the scene we saw at the end of the latest trailer - and kill him.

That's right! The Man Of Steel will murder a frail old butler in cold blood.

Quite why Warner Bros would want to make audiences hate Superman - especially considering people aren't overly enthusiastic about Cavill's version in the first place - isn't clear, but on the plus side, the thought of Supes lifting Alfred into the air and chucking him into space does sound quite funny.
