Justice League: The Snyder Cut - 10 Huge Moments From The Trailer You May Have Missed

It's unlikely Darkseid will make more than a couple of fleeting appearances in Justice League, but it seems as if the movie is set to spend at least some time on Apokolips. Now, this trailer confirms that DeSaad is also going to be part of this version, and it's previously been reported that he will be shown communicating with Steppenwolf on behalf of his master.

DeSaad was created by Jack Kirby in Fourth World and is based loosely on the Marquis de Sade. He's Darkseid's chief torturer and was taken in by the villain as a child (where he was twisted into becoming the unhinged psychopathic monster you see above).

It's unlikely that or his past will be explored in Justice League as it's difficult to imagine what any of that would add to the movie, but this cameo definitely points to Snyder having big plans for Apokolips, a planet he likely would have explored in his planned sequel. After all, the team has frequently travelled there to battle Darkseid on his home turf.
