Justice League: The Snyder Cut - 10 Huge Moments From The Trailer You May Have Missed

In the theatrical version of Justice League, Cyborg's strained relationship with his father Silas Stone was certainly touched on, but only ever at a surface level. Ultimately, it never made much of an impact, and by the time the credits rolled, the hero was shown happily reuniting with his dear old dad while taking on a new form that should have been instantly familiar to comic book fans.

Snyder has hinted that he had much different plans for Silas for a while, and that's evident from this spoiler-filled moment in the trailer. As a horrified Cyborg watches on, his father is completely obliterated. Why he appears to be sacrificing himself, though, is a mystery at this point.

However, look closely in the background and it seems like Steppenwolf is looming, so perhaps Silas believes his actions will destroy the Mother Box and stop the villain from getting his hands on them? That makes sense, but it's likely his sacrifice will be for nothing...unless, in this version, the villain's plan isn't to unite the three Mother Boxes!
