Justice League: The Snyder Cut - 10 Huge Moments From The Trailer You May Have Missed

4. A New Look For Steppenwolf

Joss Whedon's Justice League wasn't completely unwatchable, but it had a lot of problems. A simplistic story and Henry Cavill's CGI mouth aside, and perhaps its biggest issue was what an underwhelming villain Steppenwolf was. It didn't help that he looked like a cartoon character, and for reasons which aren't entirely clear, it seems Whedon decided to completely redesign the villain.

That's evident from the fearsome, redesigned version seen in the trailer. He actually resembles the Steppenwolf that Lex Luthor communicated with at the end of Batman v Superman's "Ultimate Cut," and is far more terrifying that the lumbering cartoon who targeted the League in 2017.

It's believed that Ciaran Hinds will voice the villain in Justice League: The Snyder Cut as he did in the theatrical version, but it's hard to imagine his personality not changing to some extent as this terrifying new take on his appearance doesn't really gel with the version seen in cinemas a few years back.
