1. Why Didn't The Kids Help Logan Fight X-24?

The Question: Why did the child experiments waste so much time stylishly killing Donald Pierce when they could've offered some much-needed assistance to Logan as he fought and died against X-24?

The Likely Answer: Basically "because reasons", because if everything in a movie adhered to what people should do then most movies wouldn't be very entertaining.

You can also argue that it serves a symbolic purpose of sorts, that Logan's final battle ends up essentially being against himself. And of course, it's also because Logan battling a clone of himself is way more awesome and interesting than Logan and a bunch of mutant kids easily overpowering the Terminator-like creation.
