Mark Hamill: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

...And 5 That Sucked

5. Lt. Jennings - Sleepwalker

Hamill has just a small cameo in this tepid Stephen King horror, where cat monsters go around trying to eat attractive female virgins. The film is famous for having cameos from horror royalty like King, Clive Barker and John Landis, but it doesn€™t have much more going on besides that. Hamill appears in the opening scene as a cop investigating a bizarre murder, where strangled cats are hung everywhere and a body is found with a rose on it. The movie is a good example of why Hamill hasn€™t received a lot of roles that require him to be manly - he€™s a really bad fit. His role in Sleepwalkers requires someone with a jaded, world-weary attitude that he simply doesn€™t possess. It doesn€™t hurt the film that much since it would have been lame regardless of who was playing the part, but since he€™s the first character the audience meets he sets a low bar for the movie to come.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
