2. Wasp
The Wasp is the alter-ego of Janet van Dyne, the wife of Henry Pym (Ant Man), and a founding member of the Avengers. She has unfortunately been left out of the Marvel movie universe, though Joss Whedon has revealed that she appeared in an early draft of the Avengers script. Chances are we'll be seeing her when Ant Man makes his big screen debut in 2015, but fans have been hoping to see her sooner. Van Dyne, like her husband, has the ability to shrink down to a size of mere centimeters in height, or can grow to a maximum of several hundred feet. She prefers the smaller size and only grows during extreme emergencies. When she shrinks, she sprouts insectoid-like wings that give her the ability to fly, and she can shoot energy blasts from her hands (which she refers to has her "wasp stings"). Let's face it, the superhero film genre is pretty short on superheroines, and it would be a shame for Marvel to wait too long before introducing a character like Wasp. Giving her her own One Shot could give us a glimpse of her character and abilities, while separating her from her husband and showing audiences that she can hold her own against the Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
