5. The Illuminati

The Illuminati have long-been rumoured to potentially appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A number of the pieces are in place already in the form of the Infinity Stones (which are often in the possession of the Illuminati in the comic books) and characters like Tony Stark, Hank Pym and Steve Rogers, while the likes of Doctor Strange, Black Bolt and Black Panther are all on their way. But an Illuminati without both of Reed Richards and Charles Xavier just wouldn't be the Illuminati, so having the Fantastic Four in the MCU would ensure that at least one of those characters was available for membership - and that makes the chances of the secret group appearing increase dramatically. So, if indeed the Fantastic Four do end up under Marvel Studios' control, don't be surprised to see one of the most powerful secret societies in fiction coming together to work behind the scenes to predict and prevent universal threats before they happen.
