MCU: 8 Hilariously Underrated Comedic Moments
1. This Is A Man (Avengers: Infinity War)
The first meeting between the Avengers and the Guardians was bound to be historical in its own right. What many may not have expected was just how entertaining it was going to be, particularly when it came to Thor and the galaxy-traversing team.
After Thanos made waste to the spacecraft carrying the Asgardian survivors, as well as killing Loki and Heimdall, and leaving Thor for dead, the Guardians respond to the ship's distress signal. Thor, whose body is drifting lifelessly around space, is picked up by the Guardians. Star-Lord notes that it can't be possible that Thor, or rather, this dude, is still alive. Drax, as if on cue, notes that Thor isn't a dude, but rather, a handsome, muscular man.
Drax continues to praise Thor, noting that he looks like the product of a pirate and an angel. While Gamora notes the unique composition of Thor's skin, Drax and Rocket belittle Star-Lord for his weight gain, all of which seems to greatly irritate the leader of the Guardians. Thor eventually awakens, which sets up even more comedic moments, all at the expense of Star-Lord.
With a future MCU instalment allowing Thor and the Guardians to team up once again, audiences can be sure that absolutely hilarious moments between the parties will arise. One can hope that they aren't all directed towards Peter Quill. Or, maybe they should be, for hilarity's sake.
