MCU: Every Phase Three Post Credit Scene Ranked Worst To Best

As soon as it was confirmed that the Skrulls would play a major part in Captain Marvel in 2019, before they even appeared in an MCU movie, Marvel fans were questioning their favourite characters. Any one of them could have been a Skrull this whole time, but no one would have ever known.

The post-credit scene from Far From Home confirmed that throughout the movie, Nick Fury was not actually Nick Fury. Instead he was Talos, a Skrull the director of S.H.I.E.L.D first met during the events of Captain Marvel. This is a big deal for several reasons.

Firstly, it means that the MCU is not done with the Skrulls or Ben Mendelsohn's shape shifting character, and it also explained why the usually sharp Fury was so easily fooled by Quentin Beck's facade. It also raised a few questions about Nick Fury, the key one being 'how long has he been in space with Talos taking his place?'

Spider-Man director Jon Watts has since confirmed that it is just for Far From Home, and that the Fury we saw in Endgame was the real thing. Finally, Fury's off world vacation teased the establishment of S.W.O.R.D, which is essentially S.H.I.E.L.D but in space.
