MCU Phase 4: 10 Marvel Teams That Could Appear
4. Agents Of Atlas
Agents Of Atlas are a bit of a strange team, both in concept and membership. The characters debuted as separate (and fairly unpopular) entities in the 1950s. However, a 1978 non-canonical What If? comic retconned them together, before they reappeared again in 1998 for a miniseries.
Eventually, in 2006 they debuted in the main canon for the first time. They certainly aren’t rivals to the Avengers in terms of popularity, but if done right they have enough of a unique edge to follow a Guardians style trajectory.
Agents Of Atlas retain some of their ‘50s identity to this day, focussing on espionage heavy themes and investigations as much as the typical superhero shtick. With a tight script and experienced director (David Leitch, perhaps?) Agents Of Atlas could go from D-list to A-list.
The Agents are Gorilla-Man, Jimmy Woo, M-11, The Uranian, Namora, Venus and 3-D Man; if you haven’t heard of many of them, don’t worry about it. The Agents are more about their dynamic than what each hero can bring to the table.
Considering Namor was teased in Endgame, his cousin Namora just became more likely to join, while 3-D Man’s link to the Skrulls gives him an in too.
