4. He’s A Bit Of A Jackass
Fairly straightforward this one. If you’re looking for a new Captain America, moralistic, lead by example type, you won’t find it here. He’s not even a replacement for the charismatic sort of jackass early days Tony Stark was. No, Namor is just a regular old pain in the arse.
Going to war with Wakanda and fighting the Avengers probably told you as much, but it’s not just his actions. Plenty of villains out there could be described as evil, but not necessarily jackasses. Thanos, Kaecilius, Hela, Zemo... all bad people.
In terms of his motivations and aims, Namor is nowhere near as bad as them; he usually keeps to himself and only strikes in direct retaliation. Personality wise though, he cuts a divisive figure.
This spikiness to him still makes him very entertaining, and would add more spice to the heroes interactions, like we got in the first Avengers movie. Newbies Danvers, Spidey and T’Challa are fairly respectful, but Namor would definitely mix things up.
