MCU Phase 4: 10 Things You Need To Know About Namor

3. He’s An Ally And Foe To The Fantastic Four

Namor X Men 3
Marvel Comics

Namor straddles the line between hero and villain, that much is clear. And while he’s been teased for an inclusion in the upcoming Black Panther 2, MCU teases don’t always materialise; Namor was previously teased in Iron Man 2, and they tried to sell us that Justin Hammer, the Leader and the Mandarin/Ten Rings would all reappear.

Then again, Doctor Strange was teased in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and that came true, so don’t discount it just yet.

If, however, Black Panther’s sequel passes by without Namor as antagonist (in that case, Princess Zanda played by Carmen Ejogo please), perhaps he can be part of the Fantastic Four’s introductory movie. There are several ways they could be introduced, but with Namor being both ally and foe in the comics, he could fit in with lots of them.

Both he and Mr. Fantastic are relentless and fairly narcissistic, making them a dynamic duo when they’re working together, but also an impossibly destructive force when they’re on opposite sides.

In the comics, he’s even been a love interest to Sue, but surely they’ll stick with the better known Sue/Reed relationship on screen.
