Mortal Kombat Movie Trailer: 7 Ups & 3 Downs

The sheer amount of MK characters in the franchise is almost unfathomable, and it's therefore clear that McQuoid has plenty of options to pick from. From what can be seen in the quick cuts of this teaser, he's chucking a lot of notable names into the mix.

Firstly, there is a deliberate shot showing Goro in his full glory - as pictured above - about to tear the living soul out of a fighter, as he is want to do. Additionally, there are some distinct shots of Shao Khan statues. Nothing of the legendary villain himself, but the allusions are evidence enough that his presence will be felt in the film.

Next, there is some attention paid to the always exciting Reptile, as displayed in two shots. The first shows him sneaking around with his invisibility and the second sees him get a nasty looking body shot from Kano. It appears that they are going all-in with his reptilian look, which is very intriguing.

Finally is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance from Kabal, who can be seen at the 1:50 mark battling it out with Liu Kang.
