What If Tony Died In The Attack On His Home?

Iron Man 3 really showed the danger of Tony Stark's arrogance when he invited the Mandarin to attack his own home, even going as far to give his own address.

When the Mandarin actually takes this challenge on and blows up Tony's Malibu home, Tony only survives by the skin of his teeth. But what if he didn't? What if Iron Man actually perished during the attack?

Well it that scenario it would fall to Rhodey and Pepper to save the day. War Machine and Rescue would have to take on the Mandarin and Killian, likely with nothing but a few suits and loose threads to investigate. Would they both be up to the challenge? Or was Tony Stark the only person who could truly save the day?

If Disney wanted a really happy ending they could even reveal after the day was saved that Tony was able to survive and is found surviving deep in the wreckage, Pepper and Rhodey proving to Tony that he doesn't need to do everythinf alone.
