It's rare for a filmmaker to jump between the Marvel and DC Universes, but there's clearly no animosity there as James Gunn recently revealed that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige visited the set of The Suicide Squad and loved what he saw. However, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are understandably concerned about what Peacemaker means for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

As well as having a lot of time on his hands thanks to current world events, Gunn explained on Twitter that, "It’s also DC coming to me & saying, 'If you could do a TV show about any character from The Suicide Squad, which one would you do 1st?' And I was like, 'I’ve been having this idea about [Peacemaker]."

He would later reassure fans that, "I’m doing [Peacemaker] in the time always allotted between [The Suicide Squad] and [Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3]," so that clearly means the Marvel Studios threequel hasn't been delayed in any way to accommodate this series.

It's definitely a relief to hear that, and seeing as Vol. 3's screenplay was finished years ago, there's no reason to be anything other than impressed that Gunn is able to fit so much into his schedule.
