1. It's A Dull, Charmless Finale To The Franchise

And finally, the worst thing about Pitch Perfect 3 is that it doesn't give fans a remotely satisfying bookend to this unlikely trilogy.

Marketing has referred to it as the "last call" for the Bellas, and the film itself does tout a certain finality, but in terms of tying up the characters' arcs and moving everybody on, it's rushed into the film's final 10 minutes and doesn't feel at all emotionally resonant.

Considering the series has a huge legion of fans who are invested in this cast of characters, their send-off here feels like a major shoulder shrug, with the characters randomly announcing how their lives are suddenly looking up and how they're going to flourish post-Bellas. It's lazy, contrived and above all else disrespectful to fans who've kept the series going for three incredulous movies.

It wasn't quite all horrible, though, so here are the few things the threequel actually got right...
