Predicting 20 Highest Grossing Movies Of 2018

4. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald ($940 Million)

Crimes Of Grindelwald Dumbledore
Warner Bros.

Release Date: November 16

2016's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them made an effortless $814 million worldwide, because the Harry Potter name alone of course means these movies won't ever fail to print money (no matter that Warner Bros. announced four sequels before the first one was even released).

With some snazzy marketing that's smartly focused on the film's more pronounced links to the Potter movies - namely a brilliantly-cast Jude Law as a younger Dumbledore - this sequel shouldn't have too much trouble outgrossing its predecessor.

$940 million is a pretty conservative estimate, honestly, and if the reviews are strong enough, this could easily cross the $1 billion threshold.
