Predicting How 2018's Biggest Movies Will End

5. The "Robin Hood Cinematic Universe" Is Teased - Robin Hood

It's no secret that Summit Entertainment's attempt to breathe some life into Robin Hood is yet another effort to create a cinematic universe out of the folk hero, with Taron Egerton starring as the title character.

Though many have already written the film off as next year's King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (a gritty reinvention of a myth nobody really wanted), whether or not it succeeds, it seems highly likely that the final scene will similarly nod towards future heroic adventures for Hood and his band of Merry Men.

Quite what form that will take remains to be seen, but count on either Little John (Jamie Foxx), Friar Tuck (Tim Minchin), or Will Scarlett (Jamie Dornan) having their own solo projects teased, as was originally the plan when Sony was prepping their own Robin Hood movie a few years ago.

There's no way this will be a one-and-done if the box office is even remotely decent, so don't be surprised if there's some very Mummy-esque shilling for a shared movie universe at the end.
