Predicting The Next 10 Movies That Will Make Over $1 Billion

1. Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Yes, there's going to be another Pirates Of The Caribbean. Clearly Johnny Depp has reached the point in his career where doing the same old schtick for heaps of cash takes precedence over actually having to act. Dead Men Tell No Tales (which is a title as boring as it is dumb) will see Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom return to the franchise, which ignores that On Stranger Tides was meant to be distancing the series from the head-bangingly overblown At World's End. But no matter what the film turns out like (it has to be better than the last couple, right?) it's a safe bet to be another billion dollar entry in the franchise. On Stranger Tides, despite having to battle against At World's End's (and its own) bad press, managed that without even trying - surely the return of Will and Elizabeth can only mean more money. This isn't the only unnecessary sequel to a movie featuring a kooky Johnny Depp performance - 2016 sees the release of Alice In Wonderland: Through The Looking Glass. Following on from Tim Burton's 2010 hit, don't expect the James Bobin continuation to come as close to that film's billion dollar total; with Burton off the project and Depp over-saturated, even those who loved the original should see its cash-eyed nature. Which upcoming movies do you expect to hit that billion dollar mark? Are these choices on the money, or has a major movie been missed? Get the conversation started in the comments below.
