9. Avengers: Age Of Ultron

Avengers: Age Of Ultron is currently the most eagerly anticipated blockbuster on the horizon. After a stellar run of stand-alone movies in Phase 2, audiences are fully on board with the overall direction of the Marvel Cinematic Universe; most people would pre-book their tickets for the entirety of the recently announced Phase 3 if cinemas allowed that. Although everyone loves Captain America and Iron Man, their popularity pales in comparison to The Avengers, the team-up of all of Marvel's heroes bar Spider-Man (and who cares about him any more). The first was a smash-hit that captured an unbridled sense of fun, which contrasted brilliantly with the more sombre tone other superhero series had taken. And, judging from what we've seen of the second, there's not going to be much laurel resting come May next year. Age Of Ultron isn't just a film that could break one billion, it could conceivably join that still-exclusive club of movies with a $2 billion gross. The first made one and half billion and although the novelty of a shared universe may not be as strong as it was in 2012, Marvel only continues to get more-and-more popular.
