Sequels rarely score higher than the original movie, and so it's expected that Jack Reacher 2 will fall slightly short of the original's 62%, but basically be a solid follow-up.
With director Edward Zwick (The Last Samurai, Blood Diamond) helming, the set-pieces should sizzle, and let's face it, the majority of Tom Cruise's action movies score at least mixed reviews if not higher: he doesn't have many duds in this arena at all.
It'll fall ever-so-slightly short of Fresh status, but still prove an entertaining outing all the same.
