Ranking All The New Movie Trailers From Worst To Best
3. Tomorrowland
A notably distinct film on the list of latest trailer releases, Tomorrowland (now coming with pithy subtitle A World Beyond) isn't a part of any pre-existing franchise. OK, so it's based on a Disney theme park area, but given how director Brad Bird has described the movie's development ("inspiration" is the operative word), it's certainly a very much original idea. As it isn't based in any tangible narrative, there's been a lot of mystery around what exactly the project deals with and, with no rabid fans to clamour for leaked scripts, Disney have been able to market the film on that basis. Well, sort of. The first teaser was a brilliant, tight vignette that piqued interest by showing very little beyond some great visuals and a neat visual trick, but the second expanded way too much on the plot for no reason other than it's what trailers are supposed to do nowadays. Thankfully, this third trailer is a distinct improvement. Even though some of the mystery of what the World Beyond actually is is cleared up, there's still feeling of secrecy around the project; it shows a lot of one early action sequence, but, unless the entire plot of the film is George Clooney and Britt Robertson getting into a bath together, it's not giving a lot away. It's no Cloverfield, but interest is certainly piqued. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fM7lEYw0rTk&feature=youtu.be
