Ranking All The New Movie Trailers From Worst To Best

1. Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Unlike Batman V Superman or Ant-Man, which have major upsets (the casting of Ben Affleck and the departure of Edgar Wright) to get over, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has had nothing working against it. The idea coming from Disney, the company that made Marvel into a superpower? The appointment of life-long fan J.J. Abrams as director? The casting of the original stars and a host of talented new faces? The new-old mash-up of the first tease? They've not put a single foot wrong; the only drawbacks so far have been the viability of a cross-guard lightsaber, which is so geekily picky it hardly registers. So of course any new trailer was going to be pretty well received. But the "second teaser" for Episode VII (a phrase alone that gets you giddy) didn't just play it safe, instead expanding on the approach of the first and, in turn, doing the impossible; it made a movie that was already the most exciting film on the horizon even more exciting. Any singular moment from the trailer - the pan of Jakku revealing a felled Star Destroyer, Mark Hamill reciting his line from Return Of The Jedi, Darth Vader's charred helmet, Kylo Ren swinging that saber, a couple of old faces popping up again - would have been enough to set the internet alight. Together? Well let's just say December can't come soon enough. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngElkyQ6Rhs What's your favourite of the recently released trailers?
