Ranking Every Billion Dollar Movie - From Worst To Best

13. Finding Dory

Baby Dory
Pixar

Box Office: $1,028,570,889

Belated sequels don't usually work, but Finding Dory actually made a reasonable claim to being better than Finding Nemo. Put your pitch-forks down for a minute there, it's true: the story has more emotional impact (because Dory is more of a victim than Nemo ever was) and the adventure side is a step up too.

The twelve years between the films also allowed Pixar to refine their underwater animation techniques, leading to a stunning visual experience that more than makes up for the crossover with the original. Dory getting more screentime is an inspired move and teaming her up with cantankerous octopus Hank (Ed O'Neill) was even better.

In short, it's funny, sad and beautiful in all the ways the best of Pixar usually is.
