2. Silver Sable

Finally, a Spider-Man character with GENUINE spin-off potential.

Silver Sable is a brilliant anti-hero, and one whose association with the web-slinger is in no way a vital part of her backstory. That's probably why Sony decided to split up her and Black Cat and pursue individual features based on each character, and though Sable will apparently start from scratch all over again, it's a very difficult premise to get wrong.

For those not familiar with the character, Silver Sable is the leader of the mercenary group known as the 'Wild Pack'. Hailing from the fictional European nation of Symkaria, they started out primarily as a group of Nazi-hunting gunmen, until they eventually moved into the private sector and began serving warrants for a variety of different clients, to the point that they became the country's primary source of income.

Sable herself has fought alongside dozens of Marvel heroes, but she's anchored plenty of her own stories in the past too. With a keen intellect, an assortment of firearms and a unique proficiency in combat, Sable and the Wild Pack should be an easy hit for Sony - particularly so, now that they've devoted an entire film to her.
