Rotten Tomatoes Score: 79% (6.8/10) Box Office: Ant-Man rather unsurprisingly released to the second-lowest opening weekend of any Marvel Cinematic Universe movie (just ahead of 2008's The Incredible Hulk), and though its performance will likely prove disappointing to Marvel (who, after Guardians Of The Galaxy, probably thought they could sell ice to eskimos), it'll still make its budget back several times over once its run is finished. The Verdict: Though not one of the better entries into the MCU and sorely lacking the presence of Edgar Wright, Ant-Man is another action-packed, gleefully daft superhero outing which, while not making the most of its cast, does enough to deliver charm and hilarity in spades. It's loaded with problems (a weak villain, dull soap opera plot, and irritating product placement), but where it really counts, director Peyton Reed definitely delivers: the set-pieces are some of Marvel's most crazily imaginative, and it's safe to say that the character has been safely (the key word here) integrated into the MCU.
