Ranking November 2016's Movies - From Worst To Best
9. Allied
RottenTomatoes Score: 62% (6.3/10)
Box Office: On an $85 million budget, Robert Zemeckis' latest has opened below expectations and is ultimately unlikely to make its hefty price tag back.
Verdict: Though the lack of reviews and festival premiere leading up to release were incredibly suspicious given the clear Oscar potential, Allied is a rock solid historical romantic thriller that's gleefully old-school and touts a marvelous performance from Marion Cotillard.
It's hardly going to be remembered among Zemeckis' best movies, but his usual stylistic aplomb is abundant throughout, and while not quite everything adds up at the end, it's a sexy, engrossing ride for the most part.
