6. The Supporting Cast
Usually Bond films have a few decent supporting actors - just to name a few in recent years, we've had Colin Salmon, Samantha Bond, John Cleese, Rory Kinnear, Stana Katic, Jeffrey Wright, Giancarlo Giannini... however, the level and quality of the supporting cast this time around is pretty impressive, even by Bondian standards. In various important roles, we have Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Helen McCrory and Ben Whishaw, all of them the cream of the crop in terms of fine British actors and all of whom have more than proven their mettle when it comes to stealing the scene in ensemble casts. With a pleasantly surprisingly strong supporting cast for this film, possibly stronger than any of the films to come before it, it might just be the star power that propels Skyfall into the category of great Bond films.
