5. The Bond Girls

As vital to a Bond film's success as its failure as the villain, the Bond girls are often the most iconic part of a film - from Honey Ryder, the bikini-clad seashell seller to Solitaire, the in-house psychic for a Harlem drug cartel, the Bond girls are practically an institution and for Skyfall, they're looking particularly good. With top-notch young British actress Naomie Harris and French beauty Berenice Marlohe as MI6 field agent Eve and enigmatic Severine, the girls are shaping up to the most mysterious ones in the entire franchise. Harris is shown in the trailer to be accidentally shooting Bond as he battles a baddie on a speeding train while Marlohe oozes raw femme fatale appeal in the trailer. They'll have a lot to live up to - Quantum of Solace's Camille (Olga Kurylenko) was a raw, revenge-ridden and brutally brilliant Bond Girl and Gemma Arterton's minor role as smirking Agent Strawberry Fields was a delight, so Skyfall will have to pull out the stops in order to give us some kickass females to compete with Bond on the big screen.
