Spider-Man: Far From Home - 5 Reasons Why The Twist Ending Was A Great Idea (And 5 It Wasn't)

4. Not Great: It Creates The Possibility Of 'One More Day' Being Adapted

Spider-Man Far From Home Mid Credits
Marvel Comics

There aren't a great many Spider-Man stories that are met with contempt or ire by fans, but One More Day is one of them.

This tale saw Spidey make a deal with the devil, him giving up his marriage with Mary Jane in order so that Aunt May was returned to life and his identity went back to being secret. It was rather stupid - especially with how the comics' Aunt May was always depicted as looking as though she could drop dead at any minute.

If Peter were to team-up with Doctor Strange to try and reverse the effects of Mysterio's exposing video then the possibility of them meeting Mephisto would be rather high - yes, Peter's marriage with MJ could not be wiped from existence, but this story should really remain bound in the pages as having the most happy-go-lucky of Marvel's heroes sell his soul really was a silly choice.
