5. Not Great: It Makes Peter More Like Tony

Tony Stark is a fantastic character, his wit, intelligence and cool robot suit making for a wonderful hero that was greatly enjoyable across practically every medium.

That doesn't mean Peter Parker should be the same though.

Spider-Man is such an amazing character, but for very different reasons to Iron Man, and those should be celebrated rather than put at the wayside to make him more like Stark. Revealing his identity to the public is arguably a very small step in this direction, but one that could very quickly snowball into something more major.

Simply put, let Spider-Man be Spider-Man, you can give him Parker Industries, maybe a cool robot suit or two, but don't fundamentally change the character so that he is someone else - because then, well, he isn't Spider-Man.
