For the first half of the movie, Brad Davis (who is played by the 32-year-old Remy Hii despite being 17) is an interesting character. He's a walking, talking answer to the people who turned their noses up at the idea of some of Peter's classmates now being the wrong age and the gag works well.

He's even interesting when it becomes clear that he's going to be Peter's romantic rival for MJ, even if him taking a semi-naked picture of Peter with The Seamstress to use to cancel Peter is a bit... weird.

Sadly, after the film is done with him and MJ and Peter are together - despite Brad clearly having suspicions that Peter is not all he seems to be - he's just sort of dropped. When he's no longer relevant, he's very clearly just put out to pasteur and it's so obvious that it's pretty jarring.
