8. How Much Are The Elementals In The Movie?

The trailer briefly showcases the appearance of several fairly minor Spider-Man villains collectively known as the Elementals.

Immortal alien humanoids who rule over nature's forces, the trailer features three members of the team - Hellfire (who can control fire), Hydron (water) and Magnum (Earth).

Oddly Zephyr (air) is missing from the trailer, which just might suggest she has a role in the movie's third act, perhaps forcing Peter into another high-wire set-piece?

As for the nature of their role in the movie, it's widely expected that the Elementals are a creation of special effects whizz Quentin Beck aka Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), who likely stages a pretend fight against Hydron as witnessed in the trailer in order to cement his own faux-heroism.

It's probable that the Elementals have only a fairly small role in the film, serving as the secondary or tertiary villains that tend to show up in MCU movies.
