17. Jim Morita

After they return from Washington, Peter is hauled into the principal's office, to answer for his noticeably poor attendance and commitment at school.

The principal is played by Kenneth Choi, and is called Principal Morita. He's a direct descendent of Jim Morita - his grandfather - who was one of Captain America's Howling Commandos in Captain America: The First Avenger. He was also played by Choi.

The Principal also has a photo of his grandfather in his uniform in his office, proudly on display.

Martin Starr also appears in a small role as Mr Harrington, the academic decathlon coach. Starr already appeared in the MCU in The Incredible Hulk - could they be the same character? He's the second Freaks & Geeks star to be a part of Homecoming, as fellow star John Daley (who played Sam Weir) actually wrote the film.
