Spider-Man: Homecoming - 8 Villains The Sequel Could Introduce To The MCU

We've already seen two Norman Osborns and a pair of Harry Osborns on screen in the last decade and a half, the last of which cropped up in Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Are we likely to see more Osborns anytime soon? Given that the Green Goblin is Spider-Man's arch nemesis, it would be folly to rule the father-son duo out from the Homecoming sequel entirely.

Norman in particular would be a fantastic addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, whether he's introduced as the original Green Goblin, the director of the Thunderbolts or the next character to wield the Iron Patriot armour a la the Dark Reign storyline.

Any of those scenarios would open the door for a large-scale crossover event spanning the entire MCU after the Infinity War has raged to its conclusion.

The Amazing Spider-Man movies brought the legendary death of Gwen Stacy storyline to life, and although the second one bombed at the box office like one of the Goblin's pumpkin contraptions, there are so many Osborn stories left to retell.

Just as you can't have a series of Superman movies without Lex Luthor showing up at some point down the line, or Batman without an eventual Joker in the pack, a Goblin in the future of the rebooted Spider-Man universe is almost inevitable.
