8. Sandman - Spider-Man 3

Of all of Spider-Man's on-screen villains, it appears that Sandman was always pretty tightly mapped out from the concept art stage onwards. And that might be because of how closely Thomas Haden-Church's final version was modelled on the comic book character.
But some of EJ Krisor's concept art does seem to suggest that he might have looked a little different, not only in his gigantic form from the film's climax...

But also during his part-transformation, which would have changed half of his face when he "sanded up"...

Some of the sketches make his giant form look a lot better than it turned out in the final film, actually, because there seems to have been less of a conscious effort to reflect how Haden-Church looks in real life...
