Now, some might assume that the casting rumours suggesting that Michael Keaton is in talks to join the movie align with the Vulture rumours, but that's not necessarily an open-shut case.

If Vulture is indeed only a side villain, it stands to reason that there will be a bigger concern for Spidey to deal with by the end of the final act. That could be Dr Kurt Connors (who could be added as one of Peter Parker's teachers again), or Doctor Octopus or Norman Osborn, or it could be someone even more

Previous rumours had Scorpion as a second villain alongside Vulture (with Jason Biggs remarkably linked with the role), but it would a travesty if they cast Keaton as anyone other than Norman Osborn or Doc Ock at a push. Time will tell on that confirmation.
