Episode 2 has a lot of problems with it, not only in characters or story or pacing or that one love story, but it has a major silver sized problem near the climax of the movie named C3P0.

The beloved British robot fluent in 3 million forms of communication that could never shut up ended up in a nightmare situation for him and viewers alike when R2 literally pushes him into a droid war factory production line on the bug planet of Geonosis.

As 3P0 and the rest of the main characters try to survive the automated assembly line, he is beheaded accidentally and comedically has his body swapped with a newly made battle droid.

Thus when the armies of the separatists are sent into the arena where Obi-Wan and the other Jedi were to be executed, a battle droid with C3P0's head and his body with the other droid's head are thrown into the mix.

This leads to a weird comedic side segment during the battle, where C3P0 is forced to shoot at Jedi while apologizing until he is knocked down by a Force push and then dragged along the sand by his pal R2.

The ENTIRE time C3P0 is being ragged he continually made puns about his situation, which are funny and eye-rolling in how stupid they are, but they also simply do not fit with the grim Jedi slaughter that was happening around them.
