Star Wars: 10 Best Ever Uses Of The Force
8. Luke Takes Out The Speeder Bike - Return Of The Jedi
Considering Luke spends much of Empire getting beaten up, failing Yoda’s Jedi lessons and needing rescued, it’s a welcome development to see him finally come of age in Return Of The Jedi.
After successfully rescuing Han from Jabba the Hutt, we see him flex those new Jedi muscles further in the speeder chase sequence on Endor: after leaping from his own crashing bike, Luke ignites his (very, very cool) green lightsaber and deflects a few blaster bolts before neatly chopping through the enemy speeder.
The message of the sequence is very clear: Luke Skywalker is seriously badass now.
