Star Wars: 10 Game-Changing Theories For Episode VIII

1. Vader Will Have A Bigger Presence

Speaking of dead characters appearing in Episode VIII, there are certain sections of the Star Wars fan-base that think Darth Vader could play a role in The Force Awakens€™ sequel. Some elaboration on the mysterious scene where Kylo Ren asked Vader€™s decapitated head to show him the power of the Dark Side again, would certainly be very welcome.

Does this dialogue mean that Kylo is actually able to communicate with Vader? It certainly seems that way, especially when you add into the mix the early concept art designs of an Anakin Skywalker Force Ghost that seemingly couldn€™t settle on the light or dark side of his personality.

Although this idea didn€™t make it further than The Art Of The Force Awakens tie-in book, it€™s an interesting concept that Rian Johnson might want to pick up in Episode VIII €“ if the goodies can have a ghostly presence in Obi-Wan, why can€™t the Dark Side have an equivalent?

The only problem, really, is that showing an evil Anakin ghost would lessen his redemption arc that concluded at the end of Return Of The Jedi. But, still, the thought of a Force ghost in flux between warring sides of its personality is a tantalising proposition. Even if does mean having Hayden Christensen back in Star Wars.
