Star Wars: 20 Worst Franchise Moments (So Far)

11. Boba Fett's Death

Boba Fett is one of the most beloved Star Wars characters, but this will confuse an awful lot of people. He looks great and is a terrific presence whenever he's on-screen, but he was actually badly wasted in the Original Trilogy. It's through the now non-canon Expanded Universe that he's really got his time to shine.

Return of the Jedi is the weakest of the original three, even if it's still an awesome film in most ways, and one of the reasons why it's somewhat cool to hate these days is because of Boba Fett's abrupt and foolish demise.

Boba Fett, the coolest, smartest and most lethal bounty hunter in the galaxy was defeated by, wait for it... a visually impaired man accidentally setting off his jet-pack which then caused him to get eaten by a pit monster. This is easily one of the worst death scenes for a great character ever and it turns a beloved science-fiction icon into a joke.

Watching a terrible child actor play Boba Fett in Attack of the Clones was bad enough, but this is definitely worse.
