6. Someone May Be Trying To Be Darth Vader's Doppelgänger
No, Darth Vader isn't still alive within the series' own chronology, but parts of the character's suit will certainly will be in The Force Awakens. Anakin Skywalker may have been dead for a long, long time by the events of The Force Awakens, but it seems that 'someone' recovered his remains from the pyre funeral that his son gave him. You've already seen the earlier entry of a shadowy figure holding Vader's toasted helmet, but the image below shows the iconic mask in even more detail. With so much concept art devoted to the deceased Anakin Skywalker's suit, there should be little doubt in anyone's mind that the narrative of The Force Awakens will at least somewhat centre around Luke's redeemed father. But for what reason? Nobody wants a retread of Vader's story to be played out on-screen again for another three films, so hopefully that the presence of Vader in any form won't be purely for fan service.
